When COVID shut our town down in March 2020, we didn't wait. The Chamber launched the Support Now, Shop Later campaign within days to keep money flowing to local businesses. When the city put $250,000 of relief funding into small business grants, we made sure our businesses knew about it and got their applications in. Old Town's windows stayed lit because owners fought, and they didn't fight alone.

Third generation. My grandfather started the business in 1946. My dad brought it to Pittsburg in the late 60s. I run it today from Railroad Avenue, where I've spent my career helping East County families buy, rent, and stay in their homes.

Measure P/M Citizens Oversight Committee

Pittsburg voters approved a half-cent sales tax and were promised accountability. I sat on the citizens committee that checked whether the money went where the city said it would. I've seen the city's books line by line. That's exactly the experience this council is missing with a $5 million hole in the budget.
